Tana river Canoe Expeditions
- Day 1 : Safari to Hola.
By luck some kinds of wildlife can be seen along the road. Seasonal fruits, such as mango, papaya and banana, are available throughout the duration of the tour. After reaching Hola visiting the TARIKIH Project "Laza Primary School" Then having Pokomo Traditional Dance. Transport to the campsite, which is then arranged on the river bank, followed by a welcome reception and the provision of introductory. - Day 2 : Ready for Boarding
After breakfast loading and boarding the so-called "canoes", we comfortably drift off down the brown river. Crocodiles scramble left and right from the banks into the water. We stop whenever animals are spotted and at particularly beautiful and interesting sites to observe in peace and quiet. There is also the opportunity to film and photograph. We carefully navigate large groups of hippos and by afternoon we reach our next camp. Here we can make an extended hike through the forest to observe the rare Red Colobus and other primates or you relax.
- Day 3 : High Adrenalin inclusive
The canoe expedition sets off on the river, where we meet more hippos and crocodiles. Stops are made to film and photograph at places of interest. Breaks are taken when required or necessary. In the late afternoon, we make our way directly up the riverbank to our next camp. We then spend a pleasant evening sitting around the campfire. Today there is also the opportunity to make a safari through the forest on foot, in order to observe more than the primates alone.
- Day 4 : Original African Market
Anyone interested in a visit to a nearby village can find shopping opportunities on an original African market. An early excursion into primate territory and the nearby oxbow is possible. Everything is prepared for our departure at a leisurely African pace. In the afternoon we reach back to the hotels in Malindi.
